On Nov. 17, 2009, 24 Harmon High School students from the Visual Arts Small Learning Community visited the Arts Department and campus at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). UMKC professors welcomed the students to visit four classes in session. They were able to speak with UMKC art students about being in an art program, and administrators conducted tours of the campus and dormitories.
