As PREP-KC works with our education, business, and community partners to respond to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, here are several updates that we hope will be helpful.
1. PREP-KC has suspended all scheduled in-person student and teacher events for the foreseeable future.
2. We are working with our district partners to learn how PREP-KC can best help students continue to learn while school buildings are closed.
3. We will continue to offer summer learning opportunities but are evaluating how best to provide these experiences to our students.
4. PREP-KC’s team is working remotely, and we are all available by phone and email during regular business hours to help our partners respond to students’ and teachers’ needs during this uncertain time.
More than ever, it’s important that we keep connecting students to industry professionals to explore and prepare for college and their careers. We will expand the use of our Connector online platform as a resource for volunteers to connect with students while school buildings are closed.
For questions related to the Connector, contact Brittany Verrette, Connector Program Specialist. Our team is happy to offer Zoom professional development meetings to assist with navigating the Connector and brainstorming options for supplemental college and career curriculum tools.
