Leo E. Morton, Board Chair

Leo Morton has been Senior VP and Chief Administrative Officer of Aquila. Inc, since 2000. Mr. Morton’s career also includes executive positions with AT&T Microelectronics and AT&T Bell Laboratories and earlier service with General Motors Corporation, Rust Engineering Company, and Corning Glass. Among numerous board positions, he currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Ray Daniels
Educational Consultant
Dr. Daniels served the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools in a variety of roles including teacher, coach, assistant principal, and district administrator for over 40 years. In 2005 he retired as superintendent of KCKPS after leading the district through the first seven years of the successful First Things First reform. He currently serves the community in numerous leadership roles including as a Trustee of the Kansas City, Kansas Community College.

Edward F. Honesty
President/Chief Operating Officer, Best Harvest Bakeries
Mr. Honesty was a 20 year employee of the McDonald's Corporation and achieved the position of Managing Counsel, Great Lakes Division, McDonald's Corporation, before stepping into the position of co-owner of Best Harvest Bakeries in Wyandotte County. He currently serves as the Chair of the Board of the Local Investment Council.

       SOON              Murguria’s legal career began in 1984, when he joined the firm of Armstrong, Teasdale, Schlafly, Davis & Dicus in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1991, Murguia established the Murguia Law Office in Kansas City, Missouri. Murguia is chairman of the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Development Fund, and is chair of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. He currently serves as Advisor to the Kellogg Foundation.

David Warm

David Warm has been executive director of the Mid-America Regional Council since July 1990. Prior to coming to MARC, Mr. Warm was the city administrator at Liberty, Missouri, and also served in administrative positions with the city of Kansas City, Missouri.
